• Suppose I write a post and give it a permalink (url) and then change it later. So the old or original url is not more used.
Is there any way by which such orphaned permalinks can be deleted from the database ??
    Thanks in advance.

  • WordPress does not have a separate table for permalinks. The post slug is stored along with the other post data in wp_posts. So if you change the slug, the old one automatically gets replaced. So you don’t need to do anything.
