    Hello,

The problem is: everytime a plugin is removed, the Admin Menu section keeps showing that plugin entry.

By enabling the advanced functionality, we can only hide that entry, but not deleting it.

Currently, the only way is to restoring to default menu.

There is a way to change that?

    Regards! ??

    Hi @zeh32,

What you described is the only way to do it. Well the other way is a bit technical, but basically you need to open up the browser inspector and delete the HTML element/node of the menu item and then save the settings and then it won’t come back.

I realise for some how the plugin works in this regard may seem a little unintuitive, but the reason for this is that people deactivate plugins all the time, especially for temporary measures to troubleshoot issues. So we can’t have our system permanently remove a menu item just because a plugin was deactivated, otherwise people will be constantly rebuilding their menu. So we saw this as being a lot more painful then having old menus hanging around which can be simply hidden if need be.

I hope that helps ?? Thank you,

    Hello @northernbeacheswebsites ,

    Thanks for your reply!

I think there are three enhancements for your plugin:

1 – When we add a new plugin, the new menu option should be added somewhere automatically. Maybe at the end of the menu, maybe at the begging, I don’t know… ??

You can even highlight the new menu!

This should solve the “You don’t have enough permission to access this page” problem.

A problem that very often occurs to me is that, when I activate a new plugin, I start to configure it following a wizard. But first I need to go to your plugin, add the new menu, save, and only then returning to the wizard.

This seems to be simple, but when you have to do it lots of times, it’s a bit boring.

2 – If you delete a plugin, the corresponding menu should also be deleted. This can reduce a lot of time if you are testing plugins.

Then, if we add the plugin again, that menu will return to its previous position, or at the beginning of the menu or at the end.

3 – Allow us to remove deleted plugin menus right on the interface.

Think about it, what if we have more than 10 hidden plugin menus? Imagine how messed up the Admin Menu page would be…

But this is just my opinion… ??

    Best regards!
