Hi there, I’ve been using an embedded Munchmail form at the base of my posts for a few weeks and it seemed to be working well. I added a (not required) “Name” field (along with the usual “required” “Email” field, but…

It now seems to be glitched and I’ve gotten reports from readers that they couldn’t submit the form. I tested it and it seems the form doesn’t like just a simple name (like “Mary”) in the name field, and a popup tip says it needs an “@” there.

Fine, I’ll just delete the Name field and only have the Email field in the form.

Question is… how do I delete the Name field now? I tried editing the field, but it doesn’t give me the option of deleting the field. Please advise.

    Thanks,

The most likely scenario here is that you have renamed the by default provided Email field to Name field. Email field has the parameters added to it to ensure that proper Email address is being entered such as usage of ‘@’.

Please revert the Name Field back to Email field and change the tags for your current Email field to Name and then test your form through an incognito window. The issue should be resolved.
