How to delete an old affiliate banner

  • I placed an affiliate banner on my blog in 2010. It was obviously removed from word press. That’s not the problem; some dots still show, where the banner used to be. And tonight, I used google chrome and I can see an icon to show there used to be an affiliate banner.

    I just want to get rid of it! Any ideas? I just can’t remember how I originally put the banner on. I’m using the woo theme busy bee.

    Any help gratefully received.

    OK. How did you add it? And can you provide a link to the site?

    It was obviously removed from word press.

    If you edited the theme files directly then that was almost certainly happened. It’s why you should use a child theme instead. In this case that’s moot as you want to remove the banner. ??

    The problem is I can’t remember how I put the banner on. It was back in the days when it was allowed. It disappeared this year and I’ve only just got on to it as I’ve been ridiculously busy (doing a master’s, new baby etc).

    Just want to remove all traces.
