How to dele related posts for the posts of a certain category?

  • Hello!

    I am in trouble of how to remove related posts element from the posts of a certain category. For instance, I do not want related posts to be shown for my news category. How to do that? I know that this problem is not actually the one, because it is too simple to fix, but I am a noob in all that stuff, just a beginner.

    Are you referring to the Related Posts Widget in your sidebar?

    If so, look under “Appearance” on your Dashboard and choose “Customize.”

    Select “Widgets” and then choose the sidebar that has the widget you want to hide, and then select the widget.

    Hit the “Visibility” button, and change the settings to read “HIDE if CATEGORY is NEWS”

    This should prevent the related posts category showing whenever the “News” category is being displayed.

    Hello!

    Thanks for your answer! But I have got a little bit different problem. I have got many categories for my posts. And one of these categories is news. I would like to remove “related posts” elements for the posts of this particular category to have them remained for the others. It has nothing to do with the widget area.

    I see the section you’re referring to. Do you know if it’s being created by the theme itself or a plugin?

    If it’s the theme, what theme are you using, and do you know if the developer has a support page?
