How to define the background color of the page when the menu is active?
-
Hello,
I tested all the parameters but I did not find
Thanks
-
Hey there,
This is found in the Page Overlay section as per the docs page below:
https://responsive.menu/docs/advanced-setup/advanced/#page-overlay
Hope that helps
Peter
Hello,
Thanks for your reply but I don’t see this setting. In which tab please?
“Advanced”? “Technical”?I do not have the Pro version
Thanks !
Hey there,
No problem. It is mentioned in the docs page, it is under the
Advanced
tab and then the sub-title isPage Overlay
.It is a Pro option but yo should be able to see it unless you have ticked the option to hide pro options.
Peter
Yes thanks, I had hidden the pros options. I found it.
But if there are many parameters in the free version, the overlay option is essential for the menu to work in its basic use.
The site of my current client is very simple and I can not charge him the premium version just to get the overlay option.
Can you just send me the CSS so that I can change it manually ?
Thanks !
Hey there,
It is not essential, I have used the free plugin in many sites as many others have done. None of the Pro options are essential.
I’m afraid it is not just a simple CSS change. It involves extra HTML, Javascript and CSS to get something like that working.
If you are providing a website to your client then you should be able to implement something like this if needed.
All the best
Peter
Hello,
I think this kind of menu works like a ligtbox and the background color is essential, but I understand that you can not integrate all the features into the free version.
I will suggest the pro option to my client.
I thank you already for the free version which works very well
Have a good day
Hey there,
The menu is fully functional without a background colour and I don’t think it is necessarily essential for most users.
In fact, if you view this very page we are on now and open the mobile menu there is no page overlay or changing of the background colour.
Sometimes people want to be able to scroll the background or have no changes when opening the menu. I’m not sure if it would be possible to do this with just CSS, maybe a sort of half way solution by applying a background colour to the body when the menu is open using the open menu class.
I hope that helps
Peter
Most important for me is to use very well developed and updated extensions. I think that’s the case for Responsive Menu and I thank you for that.
Otherwise, I also use Polylang and everything works fine. But if I select the option “Hide languages without translation”, on the page headings without translation, the first section (at the top of the menu) goes up and replaces the flag (or the title).
Is it possible that the first section does not replace the flag (or the menu title) and stays in its place?
But it’s just a detail ??thanks !
Hey there,
I’m glad you like the plugin in general, that makes me very happy that my hard work is appreciated ??
I’m not sure I understand the flag issue, are you able to provide a URL and steps on how to recreate the issue so I can take a look for you?
Peter
option “Hide languages without translation”. Result for headings/pages without translation:
Option enabled
https://snag.gy/ZNUBPv.jpgOption deactivated
https://snag.gy/AhuDQt.jpg
The first section, at the top of the menu, goes up and replaces the title. Why?Thanks
Hey there,
There is no
Hide languages without translation
option in my plugin, where are you enabling/disabling this?Unfortunately you haven’t provided the URL and steps for me to recreate the issue, I can’t do anything with screenshots I’m afraid.
Please advise
Peter
Sorry but I do not know the exact English translation of this Polylang option
In french version
https://snag.gy/DLBSXh.jpgIf this option is enabled :
– desired result: https://snag.gy/gpnsmW.jpg
– but currently, the result is: https://snag.gy/GBu8JE.jpg
The heading “Home” should remain on the second line and not, go back to the place of the title at the top
Hey there,
Oh, it’s a PolyLang option, sorry I didn’t realise.
As per my previous reply I need a link to the site so I can see as I can’t do anything with screenshots I’m afraid.
Peter
At the moment, I can not communicate a link but I can work without this option and I do not want to waste too much time.
If I work on a site that absolutely needs this option, I will come back to you.
Thanks !!
Hey there,
No problem. If you are unable to work it out and can send over a link please let me know.
Peter
