How to define a footer?

This was a bug. There was no way to define any <tfoot> element contents until version 0.11.3, released today. The documentation was also incorrect about the class value to use. It should be FixedHeader-footer, not FixedHeader-bottom.

A working shortcode would look like this:

[gdoc key="ABCDEFG" footer_rows="1" class="FixedHeader-footer"]

You should update to 0.11.3 and try again.

Is this also a fix for the header row? I cannot get a consistent result out of the header row on googlesheets. Some times it is row one, other times it is rows 1 – 4ish.

No, I have never had inconsistent behavior with the headers.

I have. https://paulself.com/oc-bicycle/ on the club tab it shows the first three rows.

Just updated to 0.11.3 hoping that would fix it. It does not. The other 3 tabs work correctly. Tabs 1 and 4 share the same Google Sheets doc, just different tabs. However, Tabs 2 & 3 are stand alone files.

This uses my attempt to apply this footer fix to the header. Which I have since removed and now the code is

Paul, the issue you’re seeing is a bug in Google, not in this plugin. Evidence is available here:

This is the raw address from which this plugin sources its data from Google’s copy of your spreadsheet. The resource at this URL is a CSV file that, as you can if you go to the above address in your browser, incorrectly includes numerous rows in the very first row of output.

Given this output, Inline Google Spreadsheet Viewer’s handling of the data is correct. I suggest raising this issue in the Google Product Support Forums.

I have been suspicious that there is a data issue. Since the first record starts with 3F I theorized that could mean something to google.It seems as if number and an alpha character do create an issue. The number alone works fine. Adding the letter and it is now in the header. Testing various permutations to find the trigger combination that will not go into the header.

Yep, and first cell that has a number+Leter to start the cell pushes data into the header. I Tried quotes, underscores, a space before, a space in the middle, but they had no effect. number + letter = in the header.

This is really good to know. I was having this problem at one point and was pulling my hair out trying to understand what was happening… then one day it fixed itself (likely because my source data changed). Nice troubleshooting, Paul.
