When editing products, it is only possible to add products in the “Cruzado Venda” field.

This limits the possibilities.
The ideal would also be to add product categories.

Imagine that I sell PIZZAS and Drinks.
If I have dozens of different drinks, the way it is today, I can only add one at a time, “I know I can add several, one by one” but imagine, adding dozens of drinks to each new pizza register.

Wouldn’t it be more intelligent to be able to add a category that covers all drinks? : D

* The related products option does not work, as it displays the suggestions on the product screen, not in the cart, in addition, the related ones, display similar products, and would inevitably display more pizzas, when I want to display supplements for pizzas such as soft drinks and juices. understood?

Anyway, how do I define the categories in the cross selling field?

Hi there,

I understand you want to set up your Cross-sells for products using Product Categories instead of adding individual products. As you have found, that is not part of the core WooCommerce functionality. To change that, you would need to install a plugin such as one of the ones below.

While they do not make it so you can add categories directly to products on the Edit Product page, they do allow you to manage the cross-sells separately in bulk for categories via a separate configuration screen:

– https://woocommerce.com/products/product-recommendations/

Doing a Google search for “WooCommerce cross-sell category” provides other options as well:

Kelly, thanks for the help, I will try the suggested plugins, what happens is that the more we can avoid using plugins the better,

you could consider this option in a future update of woocommerce.
this would be very useful.
