I skimmed through here and searched the FAQs but couldn’t find anything on false positives.

Is there a running list of false positives anywhere? I had a plugin add-on that was flagged by wordfence as malicious. It wasn’t essential so I just downloaded it for backup and deleted the file. I also emailed the developer to see what his thoughts were. He said that it was a false positive but he didn’t review the files. How do I decide if it’s an issue that I should ignore or if it’s something legitimate?

There isn’t a current running list, as they are usually cleared up fairly soon, but there were a couple audio-related plugins with “track.id” in the code, that were appearing as false positives last week.

If you think the file might be malicious, you can send us a copy at samples [at] wordfence.com, and we will take a look.
