How to customize SuperWP Theme

    I picked this SuperWP Theme thinking it would be fairly easy to customized, but I need a little help.
    The site should be simple with the following
    1. Header – logo & phone number
    2. Left sidebar- special offers, newsletter signup
    3. Right sidebar – quote form, coupon
    4. Middle – main content information

    Order from the top
    1. logo in the header should be first, with phone number
    2. then navigation bar(home, about, contact…)
    3. then bar with special offer scrolling text and or social buttons (facebook, twitter, pinterest, email)
    I currently have an “under construction” page for the site. If it would help, I can make it live so anyone with advice can see it. Please, if there are any plugins, videos with instructions that I should read, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

    Also, how do I get rid of the following in the right and left sidebars? Categories, archives, meta, pages, tweets, tags, facebook stuff.

  • You seem to be fairly new to WordPress. Try to play around the Dashboard first.

    To customize the theme, navigate to Apperances >> Editor in your dashboard and edit the necessary files.

    As for the widgets, go to Appearances >> Widgets and remove them from the sidebar.

    Very true- I am new to wordpress. I should be able to do this, I used to co-own a computer store, sold software and teach basic computer skills. This is just a little challenging for me right now since I have deadlines.

    As far as the Style sheet, once I change it, can i go back to the default if it doesn’t work? I don’t think I know enough to edit the style sheet. I could learn if I have the right tools. Can you suggest a source that would help me figure out how to edit the style sheet?

    Also, could you let me know whether you can see the site or the “under construction” page?
