How to customize slideshow plugin?

I have to change this plugin to use it my client’s site. I like to remove the hover bar under the image, make the image stretch to screen’s width, add text to the slider and etc.

How to customize this plugin to use it. Which file is responsible for these changes in the slideshow plugin directory.
