How to Customise a Page

  • Hello All,

    I’ve just installed the Enigma-Child theme which I have made a few adjustments to my liking. I’ve also completed all that I could figure out how to build the home page. My URL is https://www.rafferty.asia

    For now, I have two queries:

    1. I would like to add a description section to the home page. It will just be two lines of text, like a brief introduction. How do I go about it?

    2. How do I go about building other pages? At the moment, there are no pages for the other labels in the navigation menu and I could not figure out how to go about building them.

    Your advise/guidance will be most appreciated.

  • For your second question: Go to your dashboard, and on the left side menu click on pages – add new. Then if you want that page to appear on your header/footer menu, then you click on appearance (also on the left side menu) and then click header.

    I have managed to label the navigation menu and loaded some information to some of the pages. However, I am unable to do a preview of the pages, it returned a “Not found” error message.

    What could I have done wrong?

    Another thing is I do not want the “Pages” showing at the footer area (dark blue row). How could I remove it?

    Hi,

    Please go to Admin Dashboard >>Appearance >>Widgets and add any widget to Footer Widget Area. And check it.

    I don’t understand.

    My Footer Widget Area is currently empty, nothing has been installed. Yet, the list of Pages is showing. I’ve tried installing and activating it and then deleting it, but the list of Pages still shows.

    What could I do to remove the dark blue Footer Section Area altogether as I do not want it showing?
