How to create special permission for user after donating

I would like to be able to grant a user special permission (eg. being able to download certain things) AFTER they donate via PayPal.

[ Ideally, I’d like to assign them a registration automatically when they donate. ]

Is there a plugin that will recognize that an actual donation has been made & assign that user a permission so they have ‘advanced’ permission ?

I would like to avoid having to manually ‘look up’ users that have donated & manually assign them special permissions.
