How to create social voting website?

  • Hi guys,

    I am new to the forums here.

    I would like to create a collaborative blog, sort of social network, where users can post funny, shocking etc online content (such as youtube videos – of course censored) and then in a poll beneath users can vote to what they think of the video from a selection of words.

    Please do not suggest using BuddyPress as I cannot use this – do not ask me to explain.

    I am wondering what plugins etc I would need to make this.
