How to create social button links on the footer widget

Hi,
please where can I find a tutorial or guide about how to install, on the footer widget, the social buttons with the links of my social pages? (NOT the social buttons to share content, but just where I can save the links of my social pages).
I searched on the old topics of the forum, but I only found several posts saying to install the plugin “Lightweight Social Icons”, that now is 4 years without any update, so I don’t trust on it.

I noticed that on the widgets there are the possibility to add “Social icons”, I tried to install them but I can’t get it to work.

Can I have some help about it? I only need 3 or 4 buttons, one next to the other, in the same line.
