How to Create Separate Org Charts or Org Items that do not Overlap

  • Hello,

    I am using the Simple Org Chart for about 20 employees and they completely overlap one another when I publish the org chart. How can I make separate charts, so that the org items do not lap one another? The plugin only offers one short code for one chart, and I am hoping either have a chart that will expand over the page (and not overlap other org items) or be able to product multiple charts (such as [orgchart1], [orgchart2], etc). Is this possible?

    I have a similar problem with the overlapping

    When there are too many people reporting to the same person the chart quickly distorts, especially if you reduce the browser size

    I added a dummy user as a kind of department title so that some users would drop down, but they don’t drop down far enough to allow the gap between the people reduce.

    Could users be assigned a tier level so that you could depict them on a lower level while keeping the reporting line the same?

    Also, being able to have multiple org charts as mentioned before would be excellent.

    @mcmillanb This is because I haven’t worked on responsiveness yet. The quick fix I think that can be done is removing extra information and reducing size of images as browser width narrows down.

    I am working Multiple charts with custom-post-types so its in process.

    @gangesh Thanks for the update. Multiple charts sounds great. Also, would there be a way for the orgchart to organize down when a lot of people report to the same person, instead of horizontal? that way I could fit more without affecting the width.

    Multiple chart and lot more is in progress and soon will be released.

    Can you show me a design that you are expecting so that I can give have a better idea of what you need.
