• I have a website where I want to create a page where people can search through my content ideally using a sophisticated kind of search feature to check all of my content for what they’re looking for.

    I don’t want to use the widget section for this; ideally I want this feature on top of my posts page, and I was wondering if there was a plugin or functionality somehow to achieve this effect.

    It doesn’t even need to be an advanced search feature, even just the existing search widget and category search widget functionality would be fine so long as it’s atop my posts page.

    Thanks for the help in advance!

  • Add Below code in your header.php file

    <form role="search" method="get" id="searchform"
        class="searchform" action="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>">
        <div>
            <label class="screen-reader-text" for="s"><?php _x( 'Search for:', 'label' ); ?></label>
            <input type="text" value="<?php echo get_search_query(); ?>" name="s" id="s" />
            <input type="submit" id="searchsubmit"
                value="<?php echo esc_attr_x( 'Search', 'submit button' ); ?>" />
        </div>
    </form>
