How to create Publishing house Book Store on WP

  • Hi WP Community, I need lil help and info.

    I like WP interface, can any one suggest – if it is possible – as I want to build a Book Store on WP.

    We are into Printing / Publishing Business. We print non-profit books for NGOs / Welfare Organizations / Temples in India and Abroad.
    Can anyone suggest – is it possible to create such thing on WP. If yes – please suggest on how to integrate on WP?

    As, We will be listing Spiritual Books and wants to provide options to order online.
    Is it possible on WP – if yes – please suggest (theme / plugins)

    I request – share the free and paid options (I mean both options – if possible)

    I feel – anything possible on WP.

    Another Related Query: If one can order on our website – then – how to integrate some kind on payment gateway into it – like I feel our site users – wont know about paypal.com. Is it possible to integrate netbanking option and credit card option into WP.

  • Oh, it’s very possible to have a high functioning store on WP! Businesses do this all the time! I’d start off looking around at different e-commerce plugins. Since I’m just a designer I can’t tell you which are the best. I know I’ve had to use getshopped.org before but I also know there are a ton of different ones out there. (both free and paid)

    You’d probably get a better response if you deleted this post and moved it over to the Plugins and Hacks board. Since the E-Commerce extension is a Plugin that you integrate with your site!
