how to create portfolio site with CMS

    Trying to find plugin/solution for building out a CMS for portfolio site. The functionality/look will be like this:

    This has been handcoded as a page in wordpress.

    And when you click on a thumbnail the detail page looks like this:
    https://www.iriscape.com/projects/?p=6

    This has been handcoded as a post – would ideally like to create a custom field or find a plugin that will allow the user to upload one thumbnail with title, categorize it (So it will automatically appear in the appropriate categories page) and then allow the viewer to post a video embed and desciption on the detail page.

    Any suggestions? Having trouble finding correct plugins/instructions on how to execute.
