• I was wondering if it is possible to create Multiple “MY COURSES” pages. I am trying to create courses, one in Spanish and the other in English. On the top menu I provided a choice to select Spanish or English. I wish to have “MY COURSES” for Spanish and a second “MY COURSES” page for English. By the way this plugin is great and hope you continue supporting it. I am working in my local environment and if it works I wish to get the Pro version. Many thanks.

Note: I copied the same question in the Watu plugin area, maybe this is the right place. I am using both Namaste LMS and Watu.

I’m afraid there is no way to do this unless you build some custom javascript drop-down which would show/hide courses using a pre-defined array or something like that. This is not an easy question.

Thanks for your quick response. In my view, it is a good plugin, however, I need to work out how to satisfy my requirements. Have a nice day.

I have two pages setup for courses, one for guests (the default “my courses” archive page) and one for logged-in users (a custom page), with URL redirects should a guest try to access the logged-in user page. However, it does involve quite a bit of effort including the ability to create custom post blocks (filtered by queries), being able to set user access levels and the facility to enable redirects.

However, if all you want to do is present a course (or indeed your entire website) in another language, you could consider a plugin like TranslatePress (available on www.remarpro.com). There are various levels of sophistication available depending on whether you get the free or premium version but the key point here is that you DO NOT need two versions of your course pages. Translations are stored as part of the underlying pages database and you simply offer the user a menu option to choose one or the other version (in your case, English or Spanish). On the premium version, if you wish, you can even have it default to one of the languages depending on the user’s IP address.

Worth exploring before shifting from an otherwise excellent plugin like Namaste! I’m still experimenting with the translate plugin in conjunction with Namaste LMS for purposes similar to your own and so far I’ve had no major issues.

Many thanks for your suggestion and specifying the “TranslatePress” plugin name. It helps. I too like “Namaste!” plugin as it is robust and easy to use. Though, I am at the early stage of exploring it and I hope the developer continues enhancement if needed.
