• Hi all,

    I expect creating some hidden pages on website. They are NOT open to public. Readers have to login with password to read those pages.

    I have been searching a while and found following article;

    How to create a hidden page on WordPress
    (Posted on August 3, 2011)
    https://buildyourblog.net/content/create-hidden-page-wordpress

    Shall I follow the steps mentioned to proceed? OR is there a better solution? Is there a plugin for this job?

    Please advise. Thanks

    If you want to hide a page and set a password…….
    On right side of your page under Publish click on visibility and select Password protect

    and publish it.

    now those user which are register with you can only view this page or you can also hide from them in user Role.

    Hope this may helpful for you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advice.

    I found it;
    (check) password protected

    The page is still on the menu? On clicking it popup a request for password. Readers have to login with password to read that page.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    I need those pages shown on the menu.

    What I’m prepaired to achieve is creating some pages to be shared to some friends. The pages can only be read with password.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Still not solved yet. Because once login to view that page, it would be published for ever.

    What I’m prepared to achieve is;
    The reader must login each time to read that page, NOT published eternally.

    for this you need to set your login timeout.

    how to set it please use this plugin

    Hi,

    Something here I couldn’t resolve. I have 2 hidden pages created for testing, both protected with password. On exiting the browser only the first opened hidden page will be closed. The 2nd opened hidden page remains open after exiting and on restarting the browser. Is there any key controlling it? I need to close all opened hidden pages on exiting the browser.

    I have the plugin installed. Is there any way to select both;
    1) the opened pages will be closed on x hours
    2) the opened pages will be closed on exiting the browser

    which comes earlier?

    Thanks
