How To Create GIFT CERTIFICATES

  • Hello,

    I’ve tried quite a few options to be able to sell a downloadable gift certificate for a physical store, (not an online store) and Easy Digital Downloads seems like the easiest to work with.

    What’s the best way to modify a few of the existing form fields and add a section where the purchaser can send the recipient a message along with the certificate?

    At this time we do not have gift certificate option, sorry, but there is one in development that will hopefully be released in the near future.

    Any idea on an estimate for that release? I can’t seem to find any plugins (that aren’t tied to WooCommerce) that allow for generation of gift certificates with rolling balances.

    No, unfortunately. The developer that has been working on it is a 3rd party developer and they’re doing it in their spare time.
