There are “scramblers” which transforms your basic emailadress (i.e. [email protected]) in a Javascript-mail adress.

When you say that “it is not advised” do you mean because of email havesting bots? If you just want to avoid spam then there are a few things you can do. Project Honeypot has a great tutorial on many diffrent ways to hide your email adress.
