• I am the Super Admin, and I want to create custom post types for all my sites. But all the post types I created are only available in my site, not other sites. How can I make my post types global? I tried several plugins, but none of the post types created by them are global, each site admin has to create their own.

    Thanks.

  • Note the code goes in the theme’s functions.php file. You could use the same theme for everyone, or edit each theme to include that code.

I am using WordPress 3.0 with multisites. I tried plugins Custom Post Type UI,WP Post Type UI,WP Easy Post Types. They all have to individually set for each site. Are these plugins doing the same thing editing the the admin panel theme’s functions.php? If so, why do they still have to be individually set?

Is there a plugin that will change set the custom post type “globally” in all sites?

    Thanks.

I’m working on network wide support for custom post type UI. I hope to have it working in v0.7

buddypress plugin has their own theme directory, it wastes me a while to figure that out.

Only if you’re using the default bp theme tho.
