How to create Content Boxes

  • Hi,
    I would like to create several CMS content boxes across my home page:
    – Logo Box on top left
    – Site Title Box next to it
    – A summary box below the header menu
    – A Information box at the lower end of the page
    In short, I want to learn how to create a content box of any dimension, anywhere across the page.

    Is any specific theme required for this, or we can do it even within the default themes.

    I have no coding skills, and would require step by step guidance on how exactly to introduce shortcodes or widgetize (if that is the solution)
