How to create Blog?

  • I want to create blog with separate display into the website. In this, there are different categories and different roles have different privileges. Every registered users can post blog entry but after moderator approval. There should also be the chat facility with the members of the blog. I am looking, how it can be done. So any suggestion will be appreciated. Is there any module for blog page?

  • Most hosting providers give access to script installer. Install your wordpress script using installer with your domain name. it should install in 1 minute or so. Once install you can go to your dashboard.

    steps.

    choose themes
    choose widgets

    and go to setting to modify user roles.

    go to plugins and look for chatting plug in that works for you. install it and play with it.

    Just create a blog-page. Then, by choosing a template that is ‘full-width’ or ‘blog’ (this sits in the editor-page, in the right sidebar)most themes have that in there somewere.
    Then create a menu-item linking the rest of the site to the blog.

    To regulate access, use a plugin like ‘wp-member’ or one like it. There are several.
    Same goes for chat-functionality.

    Setting up a site with advanced functionality is not a ‘ten-minute-job’, but with a bit of basic knowledge and perseverance a lot can be done.
