How to create an infinite scroll / how to get rid of "older posts" button

Hi, would there be a way to get a true infinite scroll in the Fukasawa theme?

I have tried activating the plugin “Infinite Scroll” which should be automatically loading the information of the next page when scrolling down, achieving an endless scrolling effect, but it doesn’t seem to work.

In style.css Jetpack infinite scroll seems to be there, but I’m not sure how to get rid of the “older posts” button. I read somewhere that I could change the amount of posts from the usual 7 or 10 to, say, 100, to get around it, but I’m not sure where I could alter this?

Any thoughts?
