I need to create a weekly lesson drip. Ideally, each lesson would be only made available after completing the previous lesson.

My use case is a subscription-based course, with weekly lessons and homework, that will continue until cancellation. Someone could continue with this course for years, as long as I’m able to create additional content. I cannot afford to have them “binge” the course because the value in the subscription is the weekly lesson and anticipation of discovering more lessons each month.

Presently, I can create a timed drip using the settings “Content Available After X Days From Enrollment,” but this has to be manually set for each weekly lesson. If I add in a new lesson or reorder the lessons at all, I have to manually adjust every single lesson following the one moved, which is a colossal amount of work and a major pain in the ass.

And, after just a few months of this course, I will have to manually track the # of days from each lesson and pray that I don’t mess it up. Or forget to set it and have lesson #32 available on day one.

In the ideal world, each new lesson would be visible a week after the previous one is released, and unlocked only after the previous one is completed. This is similar to the “Course Content Available Sequentially” option but subject to the weekly release constraints above.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Yes, it’s possible that you have to use the Content Available After X Days From Enrollment method, please check our documents to know more. If you have any questions or need help, please contact me.

That’s so disingenuous. I specifically stated that I knew about the Content Available After X Days From Enrollment method.

You neglected to answer the real question, which was how to handle the insertion of a lesson without having to manually re-order every single lesson that follows? Or how to move a lesson without having to manually re-order every single lesson? Or ideally, how to only make a lesson visible weekly, but only accessible after the previous lesson has been completed. One of your colleagues responded to a 5-day old support request saying that it was impossible to do so.

with any large-scale course with numerous lessons, this method you describe simply isn’t tractable.
