• Hi.

Suppose I have published a page. I want its URL to be changing constantly.

I have created links on a page which point them to another page. I want the slug for the destination page to be the same as the anchor text of the link at the first page.

Suppose there is a link with anchor text ‘wordpress’ then upon click, the destination page should open with a url of domain .com/wordpress (wordpress as its slug)

  • That’s a very bad idea (for SEO anyway).

Search engines will see that your site will have the same page content ofr 100’s or 1,000’s of URL’s, and see that as duplicate content and either drop your sites rankings or ban it completely.

If it’s something that you really do feel a need to do, have a look at the WordPress Rewite API.
