how to create a slider image like the demo

Only the sticky posts are in the slider, so you need to have some sticky posts for the slider work.

ok, I found the solution: flag “Keep this article always on the front page”.

When you edit post there is words and link Visibility: Public Edit above Publish/Update button.

In there click Stick this post to the front page.

This is basic WP feature.

Is there any way to show pages in the slider? If pages cannot be included in the slider directly, is there any way to display posts in the slider but hyperlink to a corresponding page (not the post)?

I am hoping to have my pages appear in the menu and dropdown menu and at the same time, be previewed on the homepage using the slider.

But there is no easy way to show pages in the slider. It would take a lot of custom work.
