    I tried this code:
    [skype-status skype_id=“ronmann8888″ user_name=“ronald l. mann” button_theme=callme_mini_blue]

and it does not call ronmann8888. This is a secondary user I want to add. It calls to the Primary user defined in setup.

How do I get this secondary user to work?
    Thanks,
    Ron

That’s unusual. Could you share a link to your site?

Thanks for getting back to me. Look at this page (still in development) https://speakfour.com/life-advisors/

You will see two Skype buttons, top one goes to Matt Bates and the bottom one is supposed to go to ronald mann (me)

Also, I really like the top “call me” button with the drop down menu. What is the code to use that one?

Hmm, I fear the page is only accessible for logged in users… Could you put your shortcodes on a temporary public page?

ooooops forgot about that. I cleared that. Try it now.

OK seeing it now… So what is the exact shortcode used for that first button?

    (@ronmann)

I used the widget “Add a Skype legacy button” that was created by your plugin. It does not show the code.

Ah OK, it’s a page builder theme? Have you tried using the widget for the second button?

    Thread Starter ronmann

    (@ronmann)

I would love to do that, but I thought I had to use code to create a different second user. Is there a say to use the widget and specify a different user than what is defined in the initial settings?

Page builder widgets usually duo funny things like converting simple quotes to “fancy quotes” which breaks the shortcode… You could try replacing your shortcode with [skype-status skype_id=romnamm8888 user_name=RonaldIMann button_theme=transparent_dropdown]

Thank you for such great support. I had to fix the spelling of my name “ronmann8888” and the code works great. Nice work!

Haha, sorry I copy/pasted that from my test site where I used a “fake” id on purpose in the first place ??

Is there a say to use the widget and specify a different user than what is defined in the initial settings?

Yes, the widget has the field “SkypeID” and “Full name” where you can define another user.

    Thread Starter ronmann

    (@ronmann)

I see that now. I did not clearly understand how easy it could be.

One more thing. the drop down menu does not work on the second button. I used the widget, changed the settings and everything is good except the drop down. Any ideas?
    same page on life advisers.

Hmm, I see what you mean. That is a limitation of the drop down button, currently.

I’ll be looking for a way to make more than one dropdown per page possible…
