How to – Create a multi-column category list, with the latest 10 posts

I want to post a list of all of the categories on my blog, and have the most recent 10 posts in each category.

I’m looking at two multiple cstegory plugins:

I think the second one is a bit more friendly…

However, it won’t display the most recent 10 posts.

I found some simple code at wordpres garage that will post a list of recent posts.
