How to create a link from static page to blog posts
-
Greetings, I am totally blind and as I use both Mac and Windows, have had a heck of a time finding an accessible program that I could use to create my site — that is until a friend suggested WordPress. As I wanted to start a blog anyway, I figured I’d give it a try. All went smoothly, I have all my static pages created and then I realized that I had no way to link to my blog. The theme I’m using puts the categories toward the bottom of my static pages, but for accessibility reasons, I was hoping to have a direct link to my blog posts. I’ve figured out that I can link to a specific category, but is there a way to link to posts regardless of category?
In retrospect, I probably should have set up two WordPress installations, one for the static content and a second just for the blog. If this is the only solution, I can certainly do this, however, I’d then need a way to import all my posts into the new blog and something tells me this might not be the easiest thing to do either.
I’m very new to all this and apologize if the answer is somewhere very obvious in the template. I tried looking at the various files, but short of actually including the posts somewhere in the static pages, I’m not seeing a way to accomplish what I’m trying to do. If anyone wants to see what I’m trying to do, my page, which is still a bit of a mess, is at https://www.atmaine.com.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Steve
