how to create a full/widthe page using a 2014 child theme

  • Hello, I’m trying to create a full-width page using a child theme for the 2014 theme. I have created four files, style.css, functions.php, footer.php, and full-width.php.
    The last one, full-width.php, does not have any code on it.
    My question is:
    What should I modify or introduce to have a full width page layout.
    I want the text of my pages to be displayed through the hole screen, not in the center as it is now.
