How to Create a Free to Premium Plugin

  • Hello,

    I would like to know if someone knows how to create a plugin I can give away for free but with a premium feature that unlocks if they pay for the premium price.

    I have noticed sumome wp plugin does this using javascript but I wanted to know if there is a link or post that already discusses this. I guess I have been searching with the wrong keywords because I can’t find anything.
