Hey, we use showit as well. The way to do it is in a folder that is NOT within wordpress via FTP. Once it is in that folder on your webserver, you can embed the show within a post, or create an html template that looks like your blog. I don’t want to post details here, but if you are interested in more detailed info, you can msg me from https://annamayer.com and I’ll be glad to give you a little more guidance.

Even though this is an old topic, I still get emails requesting some of the details. I don’t have time for long discussions, but here are some are the main points.

Create a dedicated folder on your server for the slideshows–one that is close to the top (such as mydomain.com/showit) and put each show folder within that using FTP, not the WP uploader. When creating the shows, in the initial setup, be sure to set it to the correct size that will fit on your blog. After you’ve done the initial show setup and your doing the details for the show, on the Customize Page tab, be sure to check the “embed” box. Second, on the Publish tab enter the url of the slideshow folder (https://mydomain/showit/showname) and then click the “generate embed code” button. Begin the WP post/page that you are doing, but be sure to use the HTML tab in the editor and not the Visual tab. Copy that code into a blog post/page, and click publish.

That should do it in many cases, but sometimes there are some issues w WP. If that’s the case, you could also try using the Kimili Flash embed plugin. Even with that however, you would need all of the info that’s in the Embed Code, so it’s worth going through that process.
