How to create a drop down navigation menu in a theme

  • I am 16 years old, I have a big knowledge of HTML and CSS.
    Also I can read and write Javascript and Jquery, and I know a little bit of PHP, I can read it.
    I am now making a own WordPress theme for my website (for my company), but I have one problem:
    There is a code for a drop down navigation menu, but I don’t know which code it is and how it works.

    Now I have this code, but that doesn’t include drop down navigation menu’s:
    wp_nav_menu( array ( ‘container_class’ => ‘main-nav’, ‘container’ => ‘nav’ )); ?>

    Can someone help me?
