How to create a drop down menu?

What theme are you using? Can you post a link to your site? When you say, “removes the other links such as Showcase, themes, plugins etc on tis wordpress site”, what exactly do you mean?

Im using the theme “Twenty Thirteen” currently.

I haven’t made the site public yet since I’ve only just started working on it sorry ??

When I say that I’m referring to this image (https://imgur.com/EJYYhsY), I’m not sure what the name is for that strip at the top of the website, but its the area on this www.remarpro.com site that hosts all the navigation options; Showcase, Themes, Plugins, Mobile, Support, Get Involved, About, Blog and Hosting (at the top of the screen)

I can’t figure out how to have a drop down menu and have these other buttons still remain there.

Can you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing on your site? Have you created a menu (Dashboard > Appearance > Menus > Edit Menus) and then assigned to the “Navigation Menu” location (Dashboard > Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations)? You can create multi-level menus by dragging the menu item slightly to the right when you’re adding it to the menu. You can tell you’ve succeeded when you see “sub item” to the right of the menu item name.

A singular drop down menu, but I want a drop down menu as well as the buttons next to it too. When I assign it to Navigation Menu it removes the rest of the buttons unfortunately. It this an issue with my theme or something (Twenty Thirteen)?

Your theme automatically lists all static pages on your site if there’s no menu assigned to the “Navigation Menu” location, which is why you see all those pages in your menu.

You can add those pages to your custom navigation menu, though. When you create your custom navigation menu, there should be an item labeled “Pages” in the accordion to the left. (If it isn’t there, click on “Screen Options” in the upper-right corner and ensure that “Pages” is checked underneath “Show on screen”.) Once you have that option open, you can add those pages to your menu by selecting them and clicking on “Add to Menu”.

Right I get that part, but what I want is one of those static pages to be a drop down menu, while still having the other static pages next to it.

The support button creates a menu, while having the static pages such as “Mobile” and “Get involved” next to it, this is what I’m trying to achieve.

It must be possible on wordpress considering the www.remarpro.com site can do it…right?

Create a category. Then add that category to as one of your menu headlines. Then place any pages you want under that menu heading. <—This assumes “Support” is just a category list, and not an actual page itself.

If Support is a page then you can still have it as a menu heading. It should be automatically added unless you have set up wordpress so that pages are not automatically added. From that point you go to menu, and you just slide the the subtopic under the main topic.

If the page is not added automatically then you can do it manually.

If you go to your menu you should see something like this. Click me

You would click whatever you saw there and then click “add to menu.”

Once that is done you can just drag in with your mouse under the page or category you want it to go under.
