How to create a blogging website for others?

  • I would like to create a blogging website (something like WordPress.com, I guess), so people could sign up for their own subdomain (and would be able to add their own domain name to the blog), and start creating their own blog, based on WordPress Multisite.

    I was looking at Buddy Press, but I am not sure if this is exactly what I need. Setting up something like WordPress.com, would be perfect.

    What is the best way to go with something like that?
