We have quite a busy store and our physical stock in the warehouse never matches our virtual stock level in Woocommerce because of orders which are in the processing state. (Processing orders reduce the Woocommerce stock but the physical stock is still in the warehouse).

This means we can’t ever do a stock audit to reconcile our warehouse stock with the Woocommerce stock level.

Is there a way to view stock levels in Woocommerce which include stock currently in the “processing” state? That number should match our warehouse number and allow us to do a proper stock count.

I’m sure the answer is quite simple but I can’t find anything by Googling! Thanks for any help.

    Hi @phenotype_x,

In WooCommerce when an order is placed and has a status of Processing the amount of stock for that order is deducted from the total amount of stock available for the product.

Looking at the **Analytics > Stock** section of WooCommerce for us those particular stats show the amount of stock remaining in the online site and has the processing amount deducted, so that wouldn’t show the amount of stock you have in the warehouse.

The only workaround I could see was to look at the **Analytics > Stock** for a product to see how much stock was remaining in the store. I used the Bottle product as a test on my install which shows 97 stock remaining.

Within the **Analytics > Order** section I then set a filter to find that product and also specified status of processing.

That returned all of the processing orders for that product with the stock amounts which I could them total up and add on top of the 97 stock remaining number using the Items total column.

So 97 + 3 would equal 100 stock in total.

These reports can be exported as CSV files and if you’re familiar with spreadsheet formulas like SUM you could use those to calculate and show your totals within a spreadsheet.

Hi Stuart, thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately the “items sold” field is the total number of items in the order. So if someone orders 5 different products then the value shows as 5, even if I have the filter set to a specific product.

I’m surprised that more people haven’t had this problem since it seems something every e-commerce store would need to do.

Do you know of any stock management plugins that might help?

    Hey @phenotype_x,

Ahh, that’s not going to work for you then regrettably ??

I’m not personally aware of any plugins which would provide total stock amount including Processing orders and I couldn’t seem to find one I could recommend when searching on Google for us either.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
