• Dear all,
I have a wordpress website, let’s say: domain.com. It has plugins such as woocommerce, gallery, etc.
I want to copy the website to a subdomain: subdomain.domain.com. How can I do that?

I have copied the wordpress files and database file to subdomain and change the wp-config.php to change the database name but with no luck.

I also tried to install fresh wordpress, the subdomain.domain.com is alive. But with no postings. When I import the content of domain database to subdomain database. Still no luck. No postings. Even when I try to login, it goes to the domain.com wp-admin. Not the subdomain.

Is there anyone can help me here, please?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,
    Agus Nizami

Have you also updated your WordPress address (URL) and site address (URL)? Here is a tutorial on how to do that in various ways. This is often the cause of being redirected to your original domain after moving a site – like you were describing when you tried to log in.

Please let me know if this makes any difference.
