• Found out that my site has been hacked. Given the age of the site, the level of penetration, the number of other problems the site has been having, and the number of files that have accumulated in the structure, I’m opting to instead create an entirely new, clean site in a new file structure. I’ve preserved all of the old file structure and the database. I have constructed the new site, but now I want to migrate only the necessary data that I absolutely need to restore the content of the site.

So, is there a good guide, or can anyone tell me exactly what tables and files that I need to migrate? I want to restore pages, posts, and comments. I do NOT need to migrate userid’s as there is only one – mine. I also do not want to migrate extensive data about trashed spam, etc. For the record, I am a database engineer, so I’m confident I can handle manual data exports and imports. I just need to know what to move, and more importantly, what NOT to move.

Also, if there are any heads-up warnings of data to inspect for penetration, please let me know. Any other advice? I’m all ears!
