    Fellow WP Users,

I am still fairly new to WP. I need to add Custoemr Service and About Us pages (which I have already created) to my theme’s Footers 1 and 2.

I can easily created the Menus for each page and I can easily access the Widgets page to use-move-delete “current” widgets.

However, can you kindly send me the WP path for “creating” new widgets? I see nothing on the main Widgets page about “creating” Widgets.

    Many thanks, Lawrence Wilson

Widgets are inherent to WordPress; widget areas are part of your theme, so it depends on the theme you are using.

If your theme supports a footer widget area, you can simply add whatever widget you need to that area. If your theme doesn’t support a footer widget area, you could override that behavior in a child theme.

Alternately, if your theme supports a footer menu, you could just create a custom menu with the pages that you need, and use that menu in the footer menu.
