How to convert a shortcode to an anchored image

  • I already have a PHP program that does some processing before sending out a locally constructed URL. The page has “[shortcode]” and when it is click the program is run.

    How can I convert this so that “[shortcode]” is replaced with an image from the Media Library and clicking the image also runs the program?
