Hi there, I’m trying to setup up Google Adsense on my website. It’s asking me to copy and paste some code into the HTML of [ redundant link removed ], between the <head> and </head> tags. I’ve looked online but have no idea how to do this. Can anyone help?

    The code is: <script data-ad-client="ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @richpanda

Thanks for reaching us out. You need to determine where you want to show the ad on your website. Ads are most commonly displayed in the sidebar. You can add Google Adsense in your sidebar by using WordPress widgets.

Simply go to the Appearance ? Widgets page in your WordPress admin area. Next, drag & drop the ‘Custom HTML’ widget to the appropriate widget area and paste your Google AdSense code in there.

    Hi @havishka,

I think the question is not how to insert ads but how to connect a WP-Site to Adsense. Unless the WP-Site is not connected to AdSense the ads cannot be displayed anywhere.

I had the same issue since Worpress doesn’t display the ads by just inserting them. I use the plugin Advanced Ads. It’s a very good plugin to connect your WP-Site to Adsense and to manage your ads. There is a free version, so you can search in the WordPress plugin section for it in your WordPress backend. There is also a premium version if you need some more options.
