    Hey Ravi,

Unfortunately this is a limitation of working with an API to get images (like our plugin does from the Instagram API). We are limited to requesting images in only 3 sizes, the smallest of which is the “thumbnail” 150px by 150px size. The others are “normal” 320px by 320px and “full” 640px by 640px. So if your posts are between two of these sizes, they will not be very optimally sized.

There are a lot of “unofficial” image sizes that are available. These are currently in use in the “Pro” version. It will not be released to the “free” version right away due to support concerns if Instagram decides to discontinue the unofficial sizes. This may change in the future.

Let me know if you have more questions!

Do you have functionality of compressing the and resize the instagram images?
Please confirm it. So I can purchase the pro version If possible.

    Thank you.

    Hey Ravi,

The Pro version includes the use of custom image sizes if you enable it on the “Customize” tab. These are images sent from Instagram’s CDN so not optimized by the plugin in any way. It should help in most cases.

This will make the images more optimized but maybe not completely optimized depending on the exact width of what your images end up being on the page. Here is a screenshot of the available image resolutions: https://snag.gy/xcgfC9.jpg

Like I mentioned, this will likely be added to the free version eventually.

If you have more questions about the “Pro” version, feel free to contact us on our website: https://smashballoon.com/custom-twitter-feeds/support/

    Thanks,

This thread has been quiet for awhile so I’m going to mark it as resolved. Let me know if you have more questions though!

This is also my problem. Please help me how to fix this.

    Hey ricarubio,

For a period, Instagram allowed images beyond the standard sizes from their API of 150×150, 320×320 and 640×640. This is no longer possible I’m afraid.

You could set the width of your feed and number of columns to fit well with one of the avialable sizes from the API. For example, a 960 pixel wide feed with 3 columns would use the 320×320 sizes efficiently.

    Hopefully that helps!
