I thought I needed this plugin to solve an issue, so I tested it. However, my issue was resolved in a different way and I no longer need this plugin. I’ve uninstalled the plugin but I understand that the changes it made are permanent.

How can I completely remove all instances of this plugin and the changes it made from my database? I’m also using a membership plugin which has applied it’s own user roles. I’ve seen this article, but I think this solution will also remove the roles created by my membership plugin. Is there another way to only remove the changes made by your plugin without restoring to default roles and losing my membership roles?

Other plugins usually have an option to select if the user wants to completely delete everything upon uninstall, but unfortunately this option doesn’t exist with your plugin.

URE saves changes directly over database record where WordPress stores user roles data. Rollback is possible only via restore data from a backup copy prepared earlier.

If membership plugin created its user roles automatically on activation, it will make this again if it will not find its own user roles.

Ok thanks for the info and clarification. I have one more question: On the user profile page, there is a section at the bottom called “Additional Capabilities”. Is this section added by your plugin?

Yes, I confirm, this section is added by URE.
