How to completely disable and remove the Primary Sidebar? HELP!?

    Can anyone please help me to tell me how to remove the sidebar from all pages, especially the front page for my website using Pro Blogg please?

    I have tried many things including removing the code for sidebar within ‘index’ , ‘page.php and single.php. Also I have tried entering …

    <?php if (!is_front_page()) {
    get_sidebar();
    } ?>

    … into ‘index.php’ but still the sidebar shows.

    I am also wanting to decrease the gap between the header/Logo and actual picture/content?

    I am new to all this and hoping to get my head round CSS and HTML etc.

    I should really create a child theme before I mess about too.

    SOLVED!

    Used a plugin to remove sidebar and get full width.

    #CHEATING!
