How to collapse… what the bejeezus am I missing

    I’ve been using WordPress for various sites for about 3 years. I never had cause to “collapse” a post or page until now. I have a lengthy lyric page for a band website that I specifically don’t want to show up by default, but do want to show up if someone wishes it. How do I add an “see more” or whatever is practical to the post to allow this. I swear this was always an option that ignored in the past, but it’s now missing… or I’m half mad. Which ever or, does someone know a solution?

    Googling the matter only churned out various pluggins that don’t work fwiw.
