How to code custom wordpress plugin update

Hi,
I want to know how to code custom wordpress plugin that is not hosted in wordpress repo. Like I want to host plugin on my own site and then update the plugin from my site.
I want to make paid plugin and want that plugin updates from my site.
I search on google about it but not find any accurate result.
If anybody knows about any resource about this then let me know. Thanks very much.

Did you gone through it? Is it contains information about how to update plugins from different repo? I can’t find any info for what the op have asked. @tsure
